If you only take away one thing about me, it’s that I want to help people succeed.
As a Canadian from a rural area outside Toronto, my hometown only had a few thousand people in it. I like to think that I take that community spirit with me wherever I go. If there’s some way I can help you accomplish your goals, or someone in my network who can, I’ll do my best to get you a solution.
My parents were both self-employed in service-related organizations growing up. That really influenced me. I try to honour my family’s history by demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to great service.
The drive to serve others and my strengths in writing, research, and public speaking drew me to the legal field. Learning the law has taught me how to solve problems on paper. Working in business has taught me how to solve problems with people.
During my education, I was able to work with all types of businesses: small, medium, and enormous. Some were performing well, while others had financial struggles and were laying off employees. Leadership made a big difference in both situations. Learning from those earlier situations, I want to help leaders grow their businesses and allow their people to perform at their best.
Legal success is mostly about being proactive and managing relationships. Accordingly, I listen to my clients’ needs first. The solution may have a legal element, but it may not. That’s why I strive to connect my clients with the expertise to solve their problem at a price they can afford. If there is something you need help with, whether it’s a dispute or legal hurdles standing between you and success, let me know. I will do my best to serve you or refer you to someone who can.
